How do I create a weenja account?

Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to use the site. Before we delve into the precise steps for creating or activating your account, it’s essential to understand that all accounts on Weenja are initially set as buyer accounts.

Differentiating between Buyer and Seller Accounts:

Employer (Buyer) accounts on Weenja allow individuals to purchase services from Freelancers (sellers) on the platform.
Freelancers (sellers) accounts on Weenja empower individuals to offer their services to prospective Employers/buyers.

The distinction between a buyer/employer account and a seller/freelancer account on Weenja becomes relevant if an employer decides to venture into offering services on the platform as a freelancer.

All Freelancers are verified before offering their services on weenja. The verification process is simple and straight foward. Verification is carried out sing a valid National ID and phone number.

How to Create a Buyer/Employer account on Weenja

Go to weenja.com on your computer or phone. in the right upper corner, click Join Weenja

on the popup screen, you will enter your names, user name, phone number, email, your desired password and the district where you are based.

Note: Once you’ve successfully created your account, your username can’t be changed.

You can also join weenja using Google. Simply click on the google icon below the Sign up Now Button and follow prompts.

After you’ve registered your account, you’ll receive an email to activate your account.

How to Create a Freelancer (Seller) account on Weenja

1. To activate your freelancer / seller account, hoover on your profile picture located on the right upper corner of the weenja page and click on Switch account

You will be redirected to your newly created freelancer / seller profile.

2. You are required to verify your identity before posting any service as a freelancer on weenja. 

The identity verification process is simple and requires your National Id and Phone number.

We take your privacy with utmost care and we Never share your documents. Your National ID is used solely for identification verification. 

3. After successfully creating your freelancer account, add your freelancer details including your actual nemes, contact phone number, description, tagline, skills, education, experience, awards, professional memberships and all relevant  fields that will make you stand out.
